Our Mission
First Sixth Street Baptist Church has been actively involved with the Port Arthur community for over 100 years.
Our ongoing mission is to evangelize the sinner, equip the saint, and exalt the Savior.
Our Pastor
Rev. Kalan Gardner, Sr.
On Sunday February 26, 2017 Pastor Gardner will be celebrating his first year anniversary as the senior pastor. In only one year, he has blessed our church with a spirit-led preaching and pastoral guidance. Pastor Gardner's youthfulness has brought a refreshing environment back to Sixth Street, and we look forward to seeing what God will continue to do in our church through this awesome man of God.

We are a solid congregation, stretching across both generational and cultural lines, believing that making disciples is our greatest privilege and responsibility. We fulfill this mission through worship, fellowship, discipleship, and relationship. We are imperfect people who are focused on the perfect God. We welcome all people to serve Christ with us.
